Canora is known as the Heart of Good Spirit Country as a result of its proximity to several lakes and parks, including Good Spirit Lake, Crystal Lake, and Duck Mountain Provincial Park. With an abundance of nearby lakes, rivers and rural landscapes, Canora is literally only minutes away from some of the best outdoor adventure opportunities in the province. Good Spirit Country has long been renowned as a destination for the avid outdoor sportsmen for hunting and fishing.

Winter time brings snowmobile fun to Canora. Situated on the Trans Canada Snowmobile Trail, Canora boasts more than 90 miles of signed and groomed trails in the immediate area, with access to numerous other trails. Flat open prairie, lakes, rolling hills and forest area all await you. While on the trails visit one of the many warm-up shacks, and when the snow melts, get on your quad and savour nature at its finest.
If you choose to venture a few miles out, you will find yourself at one of many beautiful resort areas. Canora is surrounded by Canora Beach, Burgis Beach, Good Spirit Provincial Park and Crystal Lake. Tour 45 minutes east and find Duck Mountain Provincial Park. All have many amenities, services and activities to offer.
